WE ARE

Planning experts, lawyers, scientists, blue economy experts, sustainable fisheries specialists, communication connoisseurs, policy analysts, and more. Our staff brings a diverse mix of expertise to creating and implementing sustainable ocean plans. We lead the Blue Prosperity Coalition, a global network of world class experts working together to build a better, Bluer, sustainable future for ocean nations around the world.

Our Founder and Chairman, Ted Waitt, co-founded Gateway Computers in 1993. Since 2005, he has been deeply committed to ocean conservation around the globe through the work of the Waitt Institute, Waitt Foundation, and the Blue Prosperity Coalition. His vision is to work in partnership with governments and provide support through expeditions, grants, and technical expertise.

WHERE

WE WORK

We partner with governments around the world who are committed to improving their economies and protecting their resources. We also conduct scientific expeditions around the globe to advance the understanding of our oceans. Our first 3 pilot programs were in the Caribbean in Barbuda, Curaçao, and Montserrat and today we work globally. Our sister organization, the Waitt Foundation, provides grants for ocean exploration, science, and communication.
